Hi guru's
i am looking for a possibility to install SAP systems with an template - without using sapinst.
The goal should be to run a lot of standard installation's (e.g. ERP 6.0 EHP-4) with an default kernel and default ORACLE environment and parameters etc. So it can be copied to an targed instance.
Does one have any experience with things like that?
Thank's for all suggestion's
Jochen

If you will use the same Instalaltion media it will be same Kernel and Oracle version also. You cannot install two SAP system with same SID on same network with same hostname so you have to change the SID during Installation/Restore or you have to define the different host. All the environment variable is system and user specific so there is no template for a standard Installtion. In case if you have already a Sap instance is running on QA system and you want to replicate is from PRD system on that case you need not to use a sapinst, you can directlry restore the database and perform the post installation activity and and it will be done.
