Hi,
I have recently been assigned an SRM project without any SRM experience. Fun times! I have muddled my way through adding two custom fields to the contract header - change order added amount and change order subtracted amount. I also have a requirement to show the difference between these two amounts which is the net changed amount for the contract target value. I don't want to create a new field in the append structure to store a calculated amount. Is there a way to display this calculated value on the contract header in the portal without storing it in the database? We are running SRM 6.0
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I do not know your business need on the custome fields. By the way standard SAP provides a filed Release Value in the contract header. Will that be any use for you? If you want to track the contract changes then there is Contract versioning functionality.
If your need is to have custom field then you should store it in data base to display on the screen. I do not think there is any other way.
