Apply SAP Note 1492357 for India. I applied change but can not find where withholding tax form 16 A for India can be configured for a Smartform.
When configuring withholding tax certificate there is only one field for form name and it states Sapscript.
Within the program J_1IEWT_CERT used to print the certificate was modification applied by SAP that uses the posting date such that those entries with posting date prior to 20100401 will use SAPscript form while those posted after that date will use SMARTFORM.
Since there is only one place to enter a form name this makes it imperative that both the SAPscript and the Smartform must have the same name.
The standard Smartform had an error so had to be copied to correct and thus the Sapscript had to also be copied to facilitate the requirement that the program J_1IEWT_CERT requires. This has a reference to note 1486147. Upgrade of XML from SAP did NOT fix this issue!
