Hello,

The Database is running.

The tnsping from the MDM-Server to the DatabaseServer is working.

ebdadm> tnsping ebd

TNS Ping Utility for Solaris: Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production on 18-JUL-2011 13:53:39

Used parameter files:

/oracle/EBD/102_64/network/admin/sqlnet.ora

Used TNSNAMES adapter to resolve the alias

Attempting to contact (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = q4de8nsyf34)(PORT = 1534))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = EBD)))

OK (0 msec)

Have anyone the same problem?

Hello,

my problem was one security parameter from the oracle 11 database.

The password from the user who is connecting to the database was expired.

I set this oracle parameter in the userprofile to unlimitet than it works.

ALTER PROFILE DEFAULT LIMIT PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME UNLIMITED;

Hello Thomas

What about mdm user grants? Are it the same as on previous Oracle instance or not?

Usually, we are archiving sap mdm repositories before update and than unarchiving its at the new DBMS instance.

p.s. sometimes somebody forget to set the same charset as on previous database - please check it too

Regards
