Hi Experts,
We have setup RCA and havea clarification when using Trace analysis
Want to test using the trace recording when user performing action using internet explorer
1.Downloaded the SAP Client Plug-In
2.provided the SMD Host and SMD Http port
3.clicked on Launch
Questions are :
a. we dont want to this plugin to be installed on every user desktop
b.how to do the trace recording centrally from any admin desktop, instead of user, installing, updateing the host and port, starting and stopping the trace
Hi
The main purpose of E2E Trace Analysis is investigating problems related to a single user activity caused by one or more user clicks in the front end. I am not sure these can be posible in central recording, please check these

Thanks for your reply, but i did not get answer to my question
is thsi plug in need to installed on all users system(when ever a trace of any user is required), M
question that are raised are
1.How will a end user insatll any plugin, as his system restrcits him from installin anything
2.it would lead to more time consumtion, every time to req user to contact network team to install the plugin
3.cannot educate everytime the end user start the plugin,,update the SMD Host& Port, and steps to launch the trace, start, stop..team to install etc)
there shoudl be someway to ease this
EEM can be seen as an automated E2E trace. The idea is to install agents on certain locations (e.g. main branches of a company) and connect them with Solution Manager.
From Solution Manager as the central place for Monitoring you can run a recorded scenario on different loactions (using the agants) without any End-User activity on a regular basis or in case of e.g. reported performance problems. Based on the configuration you run it with different trace levels and then jump directly from the monitoring UI into the E2E trace of the selected execution.
Hi.
The file SAPClientPlugin.exe is an self-extracting archive. You can unpack it and edit the file smd.properties. This contains the smd host and port. After that you can create again a self-extracting archive (e.g. with WinRAR) calling plugin-starter-gui.exe.
