BBPGETVD & BBPUPDVD

I need to run BBPGETVD & BBPUPDVD as background jobs .Currently it is run manually . Tried to schedule the job in test system but could not. BBPGETVD & BBPUPDVD have the same program name but different screens 1000 & 3000

Is there any special requirement to schedule them as background job ?

Currently we are in ECC 6 & SRM 7.0

Please advice

create a variant for these two programs

BBP_VENDOR_UPDATE_DATA_JOB,

BBP_VENDOR_GET_DATA

and schedule them in the offline hours.

Hi Prasanna,

BBPGETVD has to be run manually for first time vendors. But to synchronise your ECC vendors with SRM, you can use BBP_VENDOR_SYNC as a background job.

Hi Prasanna,

It is not advised to schdeule the background job for BBPGETVD program. This program only used when new vendor creates or initital replication so better to run manually whenver new vendor creates in background.

but incase of BBPUPDVD you can schdeule background job becauase this updates exisitng vendors vendor master data.
