Thank you Srikishan and Bharuban,

The situation is when I go the menu "Customize local layout" (ALT+F12), I cannot find the menu "Activate GuitXT".

But when I go the the folder on my local pc: c:\program files\sap\sapfrontend\sapgui I find three files: guixt.exe, guixt.dll and guixt.ini.

Another thing is when I go to the control panel, Add or Remove programs, Guixt is no there to be found.

Does it mean that guixt is not properly installed ?

Guixt has to be installed on local pc or on the presentation server ?

I have onlu access to the local pc.

Can anyone help ?

Hi,

As per the guidelines/logic:

GuiXT is delivered on the SAP product CD and installed together with the SAP GUI. As the SAPGui is installed on the local PC, GuiXT should be existing on the same.

But for large user base:

- The SAP GUI must be installed on the network server.

- The GuiXT programs (GUIXT.EXE, GUIXT.DLL, GUIXT.INI, and any other programs, if required) must be installed in the central SAP GUI directory.

- The GuiXT window must be hidden for end-users by means of profile parameters "StartMinimized Yes" or "StartHidden Yes".

- The GuiXT scripts must be stored on the central server.

Perhaps you could try setting the profile parameter sapgui/user_scripting to TRUE on the application server. This could also help.

Thanks again Srikishan, I don't have access to the application server. There is an admin team for all topics related to the server installation and set up.

I'm just charge of modifying guixt script for end users. But I face the problem thtat I'm no finding the the menu to activate the Guixt.

When I open some guixt scrit by going trough the transaction smw0, I do some changes and try to import that, the chnages are not taking in account.

Thnaks in advance.

Hi Bassydiallo,

You can also activate GuiXT via registry. In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Customize can you set the following value GuiXT: 0 or 1 (hexadecimal).

Hi,

Could you check the guixt.ini profile file if the settings are correct?
