SAP Installation Problem

Hi Experts ,

First I apologize If I am not in correct Category ,

I am trying to install Trial version of SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Trial Version from this site

I am installing in Windows 2003 server , But Iam facing problem in Fourth Stage ( Install Database Client )

The error Message is

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :The database installer reported an error. DIAGNOSIS: Some database applications might still be running. SOLUTION: Check the log file sdbinst.log and C:sapdbdatawrkMaxDBRuntimeForSAPAS_install_ _ .log.). You can now:

Choose Retry to repeat the current step.

Choose View Log to get more information about the error.

Stop the option and continue with it later.

Log files are written to C:/Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW702/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL.

I checked the file <b>sdbinst.log</b> File and here is ERROR

ERR: Installation failed

ERR: error installing

ERR: Cannot install package Installer

ERR: Extraction of package "Installer" failed

ERR: cannot copy file install/sdbrun.dll

ERR: cannot set time of copied file :Invalid argument

ERR: Skipping installation of package SAP Utilities Compatibility due to previous errors (root cause package Installer)

ERR: Skipping installation of package Global Listener due to previous errors (root cause package Installer)

ERR: Skipping installation of package Installation Compatibility due to previous errors (root cause package Installer)

Please help me ....

Hi! I am getting the same error when I tried to install abap7.02 on windows7 Home edition.Did you get around your problem? Any help would be greatly apprecitiated.

I initially had a problem installing 64 bit version of abap 7.02 trial version on my windows 7 Home premium machine.But it did get it installed after MaxDB database was copied manually.After the first logon I removed the License and installed the temporary license as it wouldnt allow me to write programs in the editor without being registered on the Service Market place.It was fine for a day(I did generate the tables and use them for a day) but then started showing the license check error.So I have applied for a license file from this site https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/minisap/minisap.htm . But somehow I got a response with the license for CTB J2EE machine rather than the NSP SAP Netweaver 2004s (upto SP8) which is what my system ID is.(May be I didnt choose the systemID properly from the dropdown box). I have applied for the correct license with the same hardware key but havent got any response since last three days. In the process my client 001 has been locked n now I can access only using client 000 and user SAP* .The 90day trial period would end on 22/11/2011. Is there any way to get around this?I am a beginner and am trying to get some hands on experience on abap programming.Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Its possible there is a bug in MAXDB. See the URL - http://lists.mysql.com/maxdb/20363

Change the zip file from 46 to 48.
