SAP GUI 720 on Win Server 2008 R2 SP1 issue

Hi,

I just installed SAP Netweaver 7.02 Developer Edition on an Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Enterprise Edition. After installing the application server I tried to install the SAP GUI 7.20 for Windows but the installer shuts down after unpacking and clicking next. I've checked the logs and this is what it's recorded:

Does anyone have any idea on how can I resolve this issue?

Hi,

I've managed to resolve the issue. It's not necessarily a fix, but it worked for me.

Based on the log from event viewer you could see that the problem is with mshtml.dll; installation of IE9 will get this file up to date and after that the SAP GUI for Windows 7.20 will install without problems.
