Data replication in sales order

Former Member

Hello all,

When creating sales order(VA01) ,why is the field, "required delivery date", repeated in "Sales" and "Item Overview" tab.

There is a single field in both the tabs, and hence it is definitely not meant for entring data at item level in items tab. So what is the proper reason for this.

Regards,

Ishan Khandelwal

Hi,

It is the same field: RV45A-KETDAT & is displayed on both the screens. It is something like Plant, Ship to Party which are diaplyed on different screens.

the requested delivery date is proposed by the customer when he needs the goods. On the basis on this the system will run the availability check for each line item in the Invoice & check if it can be kept with. If not a new system propsed delivery date will be populated.

Dear Ishan Khandelwal ,

As you have noticed, both the fields are one and the same.

Some fields in the overview screen as used in other screens too.

For Eg, the Order reason in the overview screen will be available in the reason for rejection tab.

Which means the details or entries maintained in the overview screen will be automatically filled in the other fields.

For Eg,the requested delivery date entered in the overview tab will be filled in item overview as well as in ordering party tab.

Check and revert.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

Definition

The proposed date by which the customer should receive delivery of the goods. The date is preceded by a date type (a "D", for example), that determines the format of the date (day, week, or month). The proposed delivery date is stored in the document header.

Use

The delivery date may be the date requested by the customer or it may be the current date, automatically proposed by the system. You can specify automatic date proposal in the table that controls header information.

Procedure

If you change this date in the header, the change does not affect the delivery dates for items that are already scheduled for delivery. You can change the dates for items either at the item level or by using the following menu choices: Edit -> Fast Change -> Delivery Date.

Example

If the date type is "D", the system uses a day format for the date (02/10/92, for example). If you use week format ("W"), the date looks like this: 23/92.

Note

When you enter a delivery date in week or month format, the system, during processing, automatically checks the factory calendar and proposes the first valid working day as the delivery date.
