Probably due to lack of stricter filters on the Alert Rules. Try checking the "Suppress Multiple Alerts" flag on the runtime workbench -> Alert configuration for the alert being triggered and check if the issue persists.

Also, if you want to see the generated alerts, run the reports RSALERTDISP and SXMSALERT_LOGREADER. This will show you why the alerts are being generated (it is a logging transaction)

Is it file based interface. If it is file based interface when PI is trying to poll when it could reach it will start releasing alerts.

Check at that time whether file based server is down or not.

In addition to sreeram, check if right xml file is placed at the source,if it is a bad file ,based on the pooling interaval, the same file is picked and hence alert will be triggered.

Hi Adithya,

Could you please check if you have given the exact sender service/Interface in alert rules instead of * . Some times this might be the reason to trigger false alerts.

Clarify:was this false alert raiding from begining or it started triggering all of sudden?

Hi Naveen,

We have used * fpr all alert rules, however only this one particulare interface alerts keep getting triggered for and unknown reason.

HI Madhu,

This might be the reason which may take some other interface which is related to the same sender Service/Business system.

Try giving the exact service/Interface and check if you are still getting.

Naveen

error description:

Error text from the Adapter Engine: Configured source directory "XXXXXX"' does not exist

But the directory exists there.

check if the source dir has full access.

switch off the comm channel and check if the alert is triggering.
