use SAP Router to connect to other systems remotely?

Hello gurus,

I'm not so familiar with the use of SPA Router except that we need this so SAP support can connect to our systems.

That's why I'm wondering if we can also use SAPRouter to remotely connect to our other systems that are located in another country.

Basically, we need to connect to a system in India from my location here in the philippines.

Here are the details (these is just an example):

IP of the IDES system in India: 10.206.110.12

System Number: 00

System ID: X11

How can I go about this?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Cha Cha

Hi,

Are you planning to create an RFC connection to connect from your system to the system in India?

If so, there are 3 things to consider :-

1. Routestring in the RFC

2. saprouttab at both ends

3. Firewall at both ends

Trying to get all 3 correct is a real challenge.

If you're pllanning to set up an RFC, reply back and I'll try and post some more info.

Hi,

You can look at these notes: 30289, 33135.

Refer to https://service.sap.com/saprouter

Hi,

If you have maintained the information of your system in saprouttab file of SAP router then you can use sap router string to connect your systems remotely.

Thanks

Hi Sunny,

THanks for the response. Can you advise exactly what to put in the saprouttab?

and must the saprouttab in india be configured too?

Thanks,
