Universe on Excel file

Hi

I am trying to create an universe on top of an Excel file. My BO is running on UNIX server, so will i be able to create a universe using "generic ODBC" drivers? or is there any other procedure. In fact i would like to know if there is any flat file type that the UNIX server allows to create a universe on?

This site should be able to sort you out with the correct driver; it's a long time since I worked with ODBC on Excel but it is possible.
