Does not generate screen recording, v.4.0.0,

Good afternoon.

I'm with uPerform 4.0.0, under Windows Vista Enterprise. SP2. On a machine with 2 GB of memory.

Does not generate screen recording, start application, do not get errors, but displays no movement reflects that.

I have seen the error files of version 4.00 logs .... But do not give information that can happen,

Be settled with a version change??, Applying a patch??

If anyone can help me, I'd be grateful.

Estoy con Uperform 4.0.0, en entorno Windows Vista Enterprise. SP2. En una máquina con 2 Gb de memoria.

No genera grabación de pantallas, arranco aplicación, no da errores, pero en movimiento de pantallas no lo refleja.

He visto los ficheros de error, de version 4.00 logs .... Pero no dan información de que puede pasar,

Se arreglaria con un cambio de versión ¿?, aplicando algún parche ¿?

Si alguien me puede ayudar, estaría agradecido.

Funciono, el problema era de la aplicación que intentaba grabar.

Quitando en el explorador, la opción de ejecución segura, empezo a grabar bien.

No se porque con el modo seguro solo grababa de vez en cuando, ¿? , pero da igual, asi graba bien.

Para comentaros, he realizado pruebas durante el día de hoy, he consultado la documentación de a versión,

Creo que el problema podía ser que la aplicación es Web y al ejecutarse tiene activada la opción de navegación en modo seguro. ¿?

Voy a hablar con el grupo que esta haciendo el desarrollo de la misma, para ejecutarla sin este modo y volver a probar.

Cuando tenga las nuevas pruebas las enviaré.

Good morning.

Thank you very much for your response.

If we meet the system requirements,

As the user is something strange, it works sometimes, makes 1 to 2 recording, and then stops working, reboot the machine but still not working.( In Windows XP work OK ).

We do not have that version 4.0.0 directories.

For I have seen, generating log files from the help screen of the application, all I could see is:

"Initiate Block failed Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Why I said if problem up version?? to put a patch?? of ..... little memory is 2 GB??

Si, cumplimos los requerimientos del sistema,

En cuanto a el usuario, es algo extraño, le funciona algunas veces, hace 1 - 2 grabaciones, y luego le deja de funcionar , aunque reinicie la máquina sigue sin funcionar. .( Ie Windows XP trabaja OK ).

Tenemos la versión 4.0.0 no tenemos esos directorios.

En los que he podido ver, generando los ficheros de log, desde la pantalla de ayuda de la aplicación, lo único que he podido ver es :

"Initiate Block failed Object reference not set to an instance of an object "

Por eso decia si es problema de subir de versión ¿? de poner algún parche ¿? de ..... poca memoria tiene 2 Gb ¿?

Hi there,

First: Please check if the Database is up and running. restart DB if possible.

Then: On the Search Server please restart these services:

- Autonomy

- Autonomy Dish

On the Collaboration Server:

- Vignette

- Vignette FileFetch

- RWD Monitoring Service

After 15 minutes see if the issue is resolved.

If you still have the problem, please check if the below logs for interesting errors:

- A copy of the Collabconsole.txt file located in <(><<)>(><<(><<)>)>(>

<<(><<)>(><<(><<)>)>)>installdirectory>\Collaboration\log.

- A copy of the Server Error log file: <install

directory>\WWW\uPerformWS\ServerErrors.xml.

- [RWDuPerform Directory]\Collaboration\Collab.props.

Hi there,

Please check the Technical Requirements and compare to your system, including

Intel Pentium 1.5 GHz processor or equivalent (2.0GHz for re-recording)

1 GB Recommended for authoring/2.0 GB for re-recording

250 MB free disk space (500 MB for re-recording)

Recording of browser-based applications requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0.

1)#Is the issue only confined to a single user or all users?

2)#Can you please ask someone else logging on using one of the PC's/laptops that has this issue and do they

get the same issues

3)#If the problem is not happening to other people using the same machines then the problem may be related to a

user profile so you may need to talk to the IT department if this is the case - as only they can fix this.

4) Does this occur when recording certain applications or all (e.g. Java)

Have you checked the logs?

- Collabconsole.txt file located in <(><<)>installdirectory>\Collaboration\log.

- Server Error log file: <installdirectory>\WWW\uPerformWS\ServerErrors.xml.

- RWDuPerform Directory\Collaboration\Collab.props.

Check for errors on this and give us any interesting errors.
