Regarding production version

Could anybody tell me how to configure a production version in PP.

Hi,

As already explained, Production Version describes the production process of the particular Material. So, the production version contains the BOM, routing and lot size details.

For individual material, the Production version can be created in the Material master MRP4 screen.

Whereas to create production versions in mass, you can use the transaction C223.

Dear Kamil.

Please work with transaction /C223 for this.

You can add there BOM/Routing/Recipe info, etc. for working with different Production Versions in APO.

Dear Kamil,

You don't have to configure anything for production version separately.

Basically production version is a master data where in one maintains relation of BOM & Routing for that material. This is applicable for a particular range of lot size. Also production version can be checked for correctness of data maintained.
