Client copy from SAP 7.01 to 7.02

Hi all,

I have two system -

System 1: SAP ERP6 ( SAP_BASIS 7.01 )

System 2: SAP ERP6 ( SAP_BASIS 7.02 ) .

Is it possible to do client copy from System 1 to System 2 ? ( different component version ) ?

Hi,

It is not supported to do client copy between system on different releases.

Hi Sunny,

It seem that i can't use SCC9 to do client copy in different component version. It show message

"Releases of export and import systems have to be identical" Message no. TA194

And I try to export request from Sytstem 1 client, and import request to new client of system 2.

When transporting request in STMS , it shows error message "1 of 1 requests do not match the component version of the target system" Message no. XT216".

Do you know how to solve this problem.

Hi Eric,

As Sunny already mentioned, this export/import between system with different versions is not supported.

Hence the message you get is not a problem but default system behavior which cannot be changed.
