CCM with SRM 7.0

Dear All,

We are now installing SRM 7.0 for a client. We will use catalog for purchasing. Do we need to install an add-on to configure CCM or SRM 7.0 already includes it ?

or do we have to have MDM Catalog ? What is the difference between CCM and MDM ?

I will appreciate a brief information about this.

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

Anil

Hi Anil

CCM is not automatically included with SRM 7.0 and is not necessarily supported for use with SRM 7.0, the supported offering of catalog content management with SRM 7. is the SRM-MDM 3.0 version, as for the differences, essentially they both do the same job, provide a search UI for shopping, in the background both are different, while CCM was built and based on object oriented ABAP, SRM-MDM was built on C++ technology. Both are maintained differently, where CCM uses the catalog authoring tool, the SRM-MDM uses the MDM Console and Data Manager. There is much data already existing in Wiki/SDN threads and help etc to answer any oter specific questions you have about the differences and similarities between the two catalog offerings.
