Restrict user to enter more than 255 char in TextEdit element

Hi Experts,

I am using a TextEdit element for a view in Webdynpro for Java to enter user comment. But I want to restrict user to enter more than 255 char in that TextEdit element.

Can anyone tell me how it is possible.? How can i fulfill this requirement.?

Any kind of help is highly appreciated.

Hi Sambaran,

If u want a restrict the number of characters you have to create a simple type and specify the length,set it to a context attribute and then map it to the text edit UI element .
