Hi, colleagues!

Index was created in activated in dev. system. Transport log to test and production system contains message:

Following objects not activated/deleted or activated/deleted w. warning:

Index EKBE ZZZ was activated with warnings

(W- Index EKBE-ZZZ must be converted )

Number of objects to be activated............: 2

Objects not activated........................: 0

Activated objects with errors in dependencies: 0

Objects activated with warning...............: 1

Successfully activated objects...............: 1

What does it mean?

SE14 -> Extras -> Database objects -> Check / EKBE and it's indexes is consistent

Regards,

Tonya

SE14 -> Extras -> Database objects -> Check / EKBE and it's indexes is consistent

...and the ~ZZZ is shown there? If yes, everything is probably ok.

You have to check the activation protocol for the details of the error. Either check the import log of the transport request, or goto SE11 -> table EKBE -> indexes -> choose your index -> menu utilities -> activation log

Cheers Michael

Index EKBE-ZZZ must be created in the database

Message no. DT502

Diagnosis

The index was not yet created in the database.

Procedure

Generally the index will be created automatically by the activator itself or in a subsequent step.

The index need only be created manually using the database utility (SE14) if errors occurred.

Index was created in db...

It's ok?

Hi,

Go to SE14 -> Enter object name (EKBE) -> Select "Tables" -> Click on "Edit" -> Click on "Indexes" -> Select the index over the incoming popup window -> If the status is "active" and "Exists in the database", there's no problem with it.

Hi Antonina,

There might be two major item here;

1) The index cannot be generated respectfully, because of an error while activating it

2) The index still is being generated.

Check the note 334224 - Important notes for creating indexes
