LT12 - Is there a way to add additional bins

Hi All,

We have a scenario where we created a TO for material ABC for 100 pieces in bin BIN123. When we got to the bin we realized that 100 pieces would not fit. Is there a way to add a bin in transaction LT12 and say 90 pieces go to BIN123 and 10 pieces to BIN456.

LB11 currently allows you to change the quanity or bin, but does not allow you to split it into multiple bins.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

If this is to change the destination bin, you can only do this under certain circumstances but it's also to change the bin for the entire line item. Otherwise, you would have to confirm with differences and create a new TO to the other destination bin. Or cancel the original one completely in LT15 and create a new one splitting it across the two destination bins.

Hi Sinéad,

If we confirm with differences, does it open the TR back in LB11.

It seems odd that SAP would make you cancel the entire transfer order, to make a correction to one material.

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately not. I've just tested this and if you confirm with difference, the system still sees that the full quantity was posted - just one portion goes to one bin and the rest goes to the defined differences bin. The only way to reset the quantity on the TR for picking again is to cancel the TO in LT15 and create a new one.

Hi,

One work around for your requirement is to confirm the qty (partial) in the system proposed bin (ltes take as A) and confirm the difference. but physically you can place the difference qty in a bin (bin B). You can also use difference indicator to place the difference qty in the storage type and bin (for EX 999 - bin 24). then you can use lt10 to bin to bin transfer to the place the qty in the bin (transfer from 999-24 to Bin B).

No need to delete the TO.

Thanks,

JK
