Hi all,

Recently we went to EHP5 and i noticed a new field in PFCG as below.

T code: PFCG; enter role name and click on display

I see the following

Role:

Description:

Target System (new field): No destination

when you select the text box of target sytem field you see the below message and options.

You can enter either an RFC destination

or a variable which points to an RFC destination as target system

(Define variables in transaction SM30_SSM_RFC).

(radio button)Select RFC destination

(radio button)Select a variable

did anyone see this additional field after going to EHP5? is it a mandatory field in EHP5.

what is the use of this additional field in PFCG.

Thanks in Advance,

SS

It's good to check [SAP documentation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_tm80/helpdata/en/2d/1e18b5d3f64b9992c595b77f47a960/frameset.htm] first.

Hi,

the transaction PFCG belongs to Netweaver platform and not to specific SAP application such as ERP. So this field is the part of EhP 2 for Netweaver (aka 7.02). EhP 5 for ERP requires EhP 2 for Netweaver. But I am not sure if it's available in 7.01 since some SP.

Hi Sun,

The field " Target System" is under Menu Tab?

If yes then its not due to EHP5. Its was already there. I have SP17 and the field is there.

Nisit
