saplocales on Red Hat 5 and Note 187864

Hi, We are going to do an heterogeneous system copy of our non-unicode

R/3 ECC 5.0 from Solaris to linux red-hat 5.

Note 187864 states this

"If you do not use a language which is part of the saplocales package,

you do not need to install this package"

But it doesn't say anything about the laguages included in saplocale

package.

I'm Using Spanish only (plus the default ones : EN and DE). My

questions are:

1) which languages are included in saplocales?

2) Do I need to install saplocales on my new linux installation?

nowadays the saplocales package contains the SAP blended codepages (e.g. SILKROAD, TRANSSIBERIAN, ...) which are no longer supported.

Hi,

You should install English and German on OS. That will be sufficient for it.

Thanks
