Number range in notification

Dears

Is it possible change existing notification's type number to external

I created a number range but i am not able to assign this to notification type

Pls help me to solve this issue

If the number range is already in use , you cannot change the interval

what about External number assigmnet

while i create a new notification type ,external tick mark area seems inactive

can you expalin me why it so

Have you followed following procedure

If you make settings in your test client as described in the section Setting Up Clients in Customizing for notifications, you must copy both the number ranges (using transaction QCCN) and the basic settings (for example, for quality notifications using transaction QCCM) from client 000, to preserve the group formations. See OSS note 52390 for more details
