Hi
How do we show the supplier diversity hierarchy in the SPM UI reports.
BW Data Model uses ( XADIVSUP) a reference of Object XASUPPLIER for supplier diversity.
we wish to use the hierarchy delivered by DSE for supplier diversity in the SPM UI reports.

Hi Malathi,
I am doing some research regarding supplier diversity reporting via SAP. We are having a very hard time classifying suppliers within the system (we are basically starting from scratch). Can you walk me through how the suppliers are assigned multiple diverse classifications as well as how the hierarchy is set up? Where are the classifications stored (on the vendor master as a field similar to tax ID, company name, etc?) or is there a specific place in SAP that stores supplier diversity classes?
Thank you!
- Andrea

Hi Andrea,
Supplier Diversity information in SPM is intended to come from
an enrichment and classification service like “Ariba Spend Visibility Basic for
SPM” as well as other 3rd party data providers.
As part of the enrichment offering the supplier information that
is provided by the customer is enhanced with diversity information. This
enriched data is stored as an attribute of the supplier in the SPM data model
and can be used for reporting purposes.
A hierarchy file is also generated as part of the service that has multiple diversity entries per supplier.
If you already have diversity information in your master data then it is possible to convert that information to an SPM hierarchy
Please email me If you like a call to discuss further
Kind regards
Michael

Hi,
Here is an example of how a supplier diversity hierarchy looks, the leaf values are the actual suppliers:
All
|-- Veteran
|---- Vietnam veteran
|------ supplier 3
|------ supplier 4
|------ supplier 5
|---- Disabled Veteran
|------ supplier 7
|------ supplier 8
|------ supplier 9
|---- Other Veteran
|------ supplier 10
|------ supplier 11
|------ supplier 12
|-- Minority business enterprise
|----- Asian pacific
|------ supplier 15
|------ supplier 16
|----- Black
|------ supplier 18
|------ supplier 19
|------ supplier 20
|----- Hispanic
|----- Asian Indian
|------ supplier 23
|------ supplier 24
|------ supplier 25
|----- Native American
|------ supplier 28
|------ supplier 29
|- Women owned
|------ supplier 34
|------ supplier 36
|- Small Business enterprise
|------ supplier 38
|------ supplier 39
This means the cleansed suppliers are arranged in groups by supplier diversity, does this help?

Rohit
Hi,
First of the object you are referring to is '0XADIVSUP' which references '0XASUPPLIER'. You need to ensure that you have a supplier diversity hierarchy build on this object. This hierarchy is built when you load data for data type 'SUPDIV', which in turn calls process chain '0ASA_XA_P28'. Ensure this process chain is active and than the program that is being called has the right variant.
Once you have a active hierarchy you should be able to select that hierarchy in the query designer.

Rohit
Hi Malathi,
Have you tried loading the custom hierarchy via idoc:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/de/113037530b7774e10000009b38f839/content.htm
This worked for me in SPM.
Thanks,
Bridie Stevens
Hi Malathi,
Yes, you are right. Supplier diversity object references supplier object, because supplier diversity hierarchy is basically suppliers organized according to their diversity and is delivered by DSE. So when this file is loaded into SPM the system generated a hierarchy on the supplier object with the name 'Supplier Diversity'.
Not sure what you mean by 'How do we show the supplier diversity hierarchy in the SPM UI reports'. This is one of the fields that is available to be added to reports provided this hierarchy is built.

Rohit
