How to usethe "Redisaggregation" option for a row in a DP Macro

Hi:

When you select a key figure from a step (right click on the step->add element results level-> add results row), for the "change mode", you have the option to make this row as: i) Value Change, ii) Attribute Change, or, iii) Redisaggregation.

My question is this: How does the change mode "Redisaggregation" work? What is an example of its use?

Any information on this will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Satish,

The redisaggregation option is used on those Key Figures which whose disaggregation are dependent on another KF. Consider this scenario,

2 KF - Adj Stat Fcst & Stat Fcst in which the former's disaggregation is dependent on Stat Fcst. In our consensus Forecast, once the stat fcst is created every month, we would like the values of Adj Stat Fcst also to follow the same disaggregation pattern as the Stat fcst. In this case if we run a macro on KF Adj stat fcst, they would get changed to be in the same disaggregation procedure as Stat Fcst.

Just a memory refresh on how disaggregation works, whenever a value is saved into a KF, it will check its disaggregation method and aggregate/disaggregate based on it. However it does not change automatically when the source KF value changes. To ensure that the values disaggregate based on the new value changes, this option is provided.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi,

Redisaggregation means just trigger the disaggregation using macro.

Eg.you defined KF1 disaggregation type based on KF2.

whenever you change KF2 using macro system doesn't trrigger the disaggragation,so KF1 is still disaggregated based on old entries of KF2.in this case using macro chane mode 'Redisaggregation' you can trigger disaggregation for KF1.

Hope this will helps you.
