Impact on extending background job logs

Hello,

We would like to know what are the constraints and impact on retaining background job logs for 30 days since we need to increase this from current value 10 days.

It will grow the certain database table as well as on file system. But i dont think any drawback to keep 30 days, if you don't have huge database and have some space issue.

Find the house keeping jobs on your system which is calling the report RSBTCDEL and there will be some vairant defined which contains the date, you need to change on the variants and make it 30 days

You can execute SE38 and report RSBTCDEL and click on Varaints. you will find there

Hi,

We wish to maintain batch Job logs of 30days for some of the batch jobs and rest has to be reatined for 10days.

How do we achive this since RSBTCDEL doesnt have the option of defining variant for few jobs.
