Oracle patch upgrade- Prerequisites/post steps required for BASIS?

Hi,

Can someone suggest me, what are all the post steps(like any Kernel upgrade .. etc) BASIS required to do after a Oracle Patch upgrade from 10.2.0.2/10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5 and also for 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2.

Hi Venkateshwar,

What is your current release?

In case of "10.2.0.2/10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5", you don't need any additional work at the SAP level, but it is good to apply latest kernel patch.

When you upgrade 11g, you need to apply kernel patch with the 11g client.

As the other guy suggested, you can find rest of the information in the patch files.

Hello

Most importantly after following SBP and PSU post installation steps as per the readme.txt files which the Colleagues mention is the dictionary statistics as per oss note # 838725 which should be created after every patch update etc

download the respective Oracle RDBMS patches from service marketplace for your platform. The download contains readme file which explains the prerequisites, the actual procedure and the post installation steps.
