Enter negative values in Editable ALV (WebDynPro).

Hi,

I am facing a problem in entering negative values in an Editable ALV that is created in a webdynpro screen. The value entered here should then be updated in the underlying DB table.Currently when I try to enter a negative vaue, a message

"The Sign is Invalid" is thrown.

The data type of the field is CURR(28). Please suggest ways in which this requirement can be achieved.

BTW:

I mean that the edit enabled ALV is not allowed / released for Web Dynpro due to technical restrictions.

Hi,

in order to save negative entries at database level, the domain should have the check box "SIGN", under definition tab of domain checked. Then you can use this type in your ALV.
