Distribution List assigned to a User? Is it possible?

I have created a distribution list of emails in the Business Workplace. I want to assign this distribution list to a generic/support user as the communication method, but there is no option for distribution list. Can this be done? Is not, how do associate 1 user with multiple emails?

I don't think it Is this related PI. But below are some clues

Create shared distribution list ,

Assign recipients under "Distr.List content" and use what ever communication method required like "Via Internet"..

Also create a folder and assign under "Attributes".

But once it is done, use this distribution list in any of your program and send emails.

I only have this under PI because I want to assign the generic user to an alert category to be used in PI.

I have already created my shared distribution list and populted the emails on the Distr List content tab. I just need to know how to assign this distiribution list to a user.

Oh Ok I got it.

In that case.

Ask you network team to create a group user.

Now ask you basis team to create a system user for PI and assign above email id if you want to create a support group for specific interfaces.

Shared distribtion lists are for within ECC like using in programs,proxies etc..,
