Dear Gurus,

Can anybody tell me what are the requirements for SD module for creation of a new plant. kindly help me out.

Hi Suneel kumar puranam,

For new plant creation from the SD point of view first of i will suggest u to copy plant which is already existing.

Units Required :

1.Storage location

2.Sales Oranization

3.Company code

4.Shiping point

things are required and for Sales process u have to create materialin this plant and assign valuation class for inventory posting for that material.

Config:

Goto the defination of the Enterprise Structure (in IMG) and find Logistic - General. Define your plant there.In the same area you will find Materials Management; maintain your storage location there.Then Goto the Assignment of the Enterprise Structure and under Logistic - General, assign you plant to company code.In the same area you have to assign sales org, dist chnl and plant
