Hello
We are planning to install SAP eSourcing 7.0 and need some help in SAP eSourcing Database Sizing.
We would like to know
- What is the initial database size without any transaction data?
- What is the typical database size? Say for ex- if a company has 200 contracts, More than 1000 RFx, Spend Data etc what will be the database size
- How much database growth can be expected over a period of time say 5 years?
- What kind of DB Storage is recommended for PRD Instance
Regards,
Shubham
Just to add to Vikrams answer, what questions do you have about 'What kind of DB Storage is recommended for PRD Instance'. Oracle and DB2 are the supported platforms. Of course a HA setup is preferable.
If you have any more specific questions please add them to this thread.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Shubham,
Initial database size without any data will be just few hundred MB. The key factor to take into consideration when sizing the DB is the number and size of the attachments and contract documents stored in the DB. These are stored as BLOBs. DB size for E-Sourcing could vary anywhere between 20 GB to 300 GB or higher depending on aforementioned factors. A 500 GB DB should last for several years.
Hope this helps.
Vikram
