SolMan 7.1 setup: Activity Services aktivieren is required and must be perf

Former Member

Hi experts,

I try to configure the new SolMan 7.1 and I am facing the following error in step "System preparation" => Post processing of central correction note:

Activity Services aktivieren is required and must be performed for SM1

I have implemented SAP note 0001552585 SAP Solution Manager: Basic functions 7.1 SP1

Existing Version in Solution Manager: 0027

I don't find any hint which services have to be activated. Any ideas?

Thanks and kind regards, Basti

Hi Basti,

The message refers to this step in SOLMAN_SETUP:

- Basic Configuration -> 5 Configure Automatically

- Activity: Activate Services

Very likely, the correction of

SAP Note 1594497 - Service activations missing in solman_setup

triggers the log entry and requires to perform activity "Activate Services" again.

SAP Note 1594497 is implemented through SAP Note 1552585.

Hello Ruediger,

thank you for your response. I have already implemented these notes. Do you have any idea why the service /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_ags_uda_display_sap_note (part of SM_IMPLEMENTATION) is not part of my system? Can you check one of your systems if the service exists there? I think this one is the problem.

Kind regards, Basti

Hi Basti,

Web dynpro component wd_ags_uda_display_sap_note does not exist in a standard SolMan 7.1 system.

UDA = Upgrade Dependency Analyzer.

It does exist in SolMan 7.0.

I hope to get further information for you.

Hi,

I now have run SICF_INST for

Technical name: WEB DYNPRO ABAP

Technical name: SM_BASIC_SETTINGS

Technical name: SM_BASIC_SETTINGS_2

Technical name: SM_CRM_UI

Technical name: SM_DTM

Technical name: SM_MONITORING

Technical name: SM_CROSS_SCENARIO

Technical name: SM_JOB_SCHEDULING

Every status is green but the warning still exists...

All services are active except /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_ags_uda_display_sap_note (part of SM_IMPLEMENTATION). I cannot found this service in SICF. Has anybody faced a similar issue?

Thanks for highlighting this issue.

Web dynpro application wd_ags_uda_display_sap_note was removed in ST 710, but the activation of the services was not updated.

It's controlled via this table entry:

Table: ICFINSTACT

NAME SM_IMPLEMENTATION

APPL SV-SMG

COUNTER 17

PATH /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_ags_uda_display_sap_note

EXPAND

CDATE 28.10.2009

I have created customer message 2511076 2011 (not accessible for you) for easier follow-up. I will let you know, as soon as I have response from the development team.

In the meanwhile, please ignore the warning.

Thanks,

Ruediger

Hello Ruediger,

thank you for investigating Should I close the thread or better wait for the response of the developers so that we can post the solution here?!

Kind regards, Basti
