SAP IDES ECC 6.0 EhP4 Installation

Hi, SDN fellows.

I am planning to install SAP IDES ECC 6.0 EhP 4. I read that SAP ECC IDES 6.0 installation is similar to standard ECC IDES 6.0. They are basically using different sets of export CDs.

In the standard SAP ECC 6.0 installation, I still need to install EhP 4 separately. From SAP Note: 799639, it stated that SAP ECC 6.0 IDES is already included EhP 4 in the same installation.

Can anyone confirm this? Do I need to perform separate installation/patch for EhP 4 for IDES?

I know IDES ERP 6.0 SRS3 comes with SP 14. What is in SPS08?

I need to know whether I should upgrade to this Service Pack right after IDES installation.

From the technical point of view Enhancement Packages can be implemented

into IDES systems.

BUT: This is only true if the customer is licensed for all AddOns /

components that are implemented in the IDES ERP System.

Because of this "limitation" we recommend to wait for coming IDES

versions/releases that already include the EhP's.

(Please note that the current version of IDES ECC 6.0 already includes

EhP4.)

Hi,

IDES system you can directly install on EHP4. Based on technical usage, you can install corresponding IDES directly on EHP4.

Hi, Suny.

I just confirmed that that I can download the EHP4 installation files for IDES with this path:

u2018SAP ERPu2018 --> u2018SAP ERP Enhance Packageu2018 > u2018EHP for SAP ERP 6.0 / NW 7.01u2018> u2018IDES-Versionu2018, and then u2018Windows Server u2013 SQL Serveru2018.
