Hi Expert,

I'm configure NMSAP for Oracle and would interest to know is Legato smart enough to detect and backup 2nd copies of archive log to different tape? Is there any configuration and functionality in Legato??

Appreciate if you can shed some light on this, whoever using Leagato agent..

Legato isn't smart enough.

brarchive -cds only makes sense if you configure Legato to alternately save to two different libraries or tape pools, at different locations preferably.

And still: If for whatever reason one run of brarchive is omitted, the next run will copy log files to the same tape (if there is free space, of course).
