G/R error

Dear all,

We are using G/R inspection but recently we can't post G/R for the P/O in test client.

( But in live client, we have no problem )

Message : Change the inspection stock of material A452630 in QM only

We didn't change the IMG setting and maybe other module changed the IMG ( but I'm not sure ).

I compared the configurations between live client and test client, and they are perfectly identical.

( I looked at the configuration : QM -> Quality Inspection -> Insepction for Goods Movements )

Then, why do we post G/R for the P/O ( Stock type 'X' : QI stock )?

I think that because it occurred befor G/R, MM module changed the setting.

Which configuration should I look at ?

Yes.

If the customer exit 'QAAT0001' is activated, ''E_TQ32 = I_TQ32' must be programmed there.

If it is commented or not programmed, you will get error QA495 and system cannot create any inspection lot.

One more possibility.

If you activate the customer exit 'QAAT0001', check the function module 'EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002'.

There should be programmed 'E_TQ32 = I_TQ32.'

For more detail check SAP note 838213 - Stock inconsistencies when using the enhancement QAAT0001.

I activated the exit 'QAAT0001' and programmed 'E_TQ32 = I_TQ32' in the test client 2 month ago.

But It was commented. Did it cause matter ?

Check SAP note 740413 - Restricted function after implementing Note 630559

This note is released on 2011.06.06 and I think SAP will make more note to fix this problem (error QA495).

This msg could occur when

You have inspection type 01 active and in PO or GR you are trying to post the material to unrestricted.Means stock type :Unrestricted instead of quality.

I set the inspection type '01' and stock type of P/O is Quality inspection ( not Unrestricted ).

I think it is not the condition as you said.

Could you tell me another reason?

One more possibility could be by any chance material is already moved in QI stock....Check MMBE for that.Check whether material is already posted in QI for same PO..

You mean Stock Type in Purchase Order ?

It is Quality Inspection (X).

No ......when you execute the GR t code & enter pO number...under item level what is stock type of GR when you try to save MIGO......."for PO you already said its QI"

Hi Nogura,

Probably the reason for the problem you encountered with, is the change in material master after PO creation.

Letu2019s have a look on following sequence.

1. In material master inspection type is activated

2. PO is created

3. PO is released

4. Inspection type is deactivated (After PO creation but before GR)

At this moment, while doing GR system tries to post the stock to quality inspection as per PO setting. But as inspection type has already been deactivated you bump into the problem.

I suggest to check whether inspection type is active in material master. If not activate it.

When I created the PO, inspection type was activated

and I didn't change the inspection setup in material master.

I tried to create PO and GR the PO several times without changing inspection type.

I think it is not simple problem.

Because it occured in every plant and every material,

I don't think it is due to master data ( material master and inspection setup )
