Japanese Printing

Hi Experts

We are unable to print Japanese Invoice which are actually designed in Smart Forms.

When I checked in SMLT, i could find only the following languages

ENGLISH

DANISH

GERMAN

When I go to i18n and try going into troubleshooting and printing test thru SAP SCRIPT and DOUBLE BYTE JAPANESE, I get a content in the print preview.

But the same if i go thru SMART FORMS and DOUBLE BYTE JAPANESE, I get a blank page in print preview.

The system is ECC 6 Unicode and has only ABAP STACK.

Can you please guide me further as the customer users say that it used to work before adding support packs. We have recently added support pack from 17 to 21.

Warm Regards

Madhav

Hello,

Perhaps this is simply a problem with the Sapscript buffers. You can

run the report RSTXDELL on the system to clear the Sapscript buffers.

It is a good idea to do the refresh procedures after any updates

concerning font metrics, device types etc...

To do this you can use RSTXDELL report with default settings except it

is better to have * instead of the current client number in the Client

field.

Hi,

Which device type do you use to print the smartform? What is the result with JPSAPWIN or SWINCF? You may need to check in the debugger that the correct smartform and language key are called.

which print technique do you use?

frontend, backend or pdf(archive)?

print preview is always a frontend simulation.

You must use the form in the printout language to provide correct basic settings like rtl or ltr.

You must map the characters to the defined printer data.

I18N is only to configure/assign the right font to the unicode areas.

Hi,

You have to ask your BASIS people to configure the required langiuage you want.

Thanks,
