Single Cycle Maintenance Plans - Effect of Tolerance

Hello experts.,

I have a Single Cycle Plan with a package of 20 Week.

The first Order was to be closed 10.03.2011. But was closed on 28.06.2011. The variance is 111 Days.

The next Order which was due on 10.08.2011 is now due in November due to the variance.

The question here is that the Shift Factor for Late Completion & its tolerance both are set at 100%. Now with is setting, the next Order should have been on 10.08.2011 & not in November.

Request you to please explain the reason why the date got shifted to November.

Hi,

As per SAP Help, It has been mentioned that tolerance will be used only in Strategy based plan. Tolerance % will be considered between the packages assigned in maintenance strategy.

Its not for single cycle plan.

A maintenance strategy has two maintenance packages:

Package 1: Every 30 days

Package 2: Every 40 days

Smallest interval: 10 days

Tolerance: 10 %

If the maintenance package is performed no more than one day before the planned date, this variance will be disregarded for the determination of the next date.

Hello Ajai

As per your given data if you would do tolerance 100% then the next planning date will be start from previous date not from confirmatoin date. The meaning of tolerance is if your confirmation fall with in this range the next planning date should be start from previous planned date & if it would cross your tolerance limit then the next planning date would be start actual cinformation date.

By calculation your data if your tolerance is 100% then the next planning date would be start from 10/03/2011 not from 28/06/2011

Hope this information would be benificial to solve your problem.
