Entry to Change In MARV Table?

While I was Updating Current & Previous period one shot with se16n in Table MARV and with "&sap_edit". I have made a wrong Entry in the dates and year in the company code and have saved the data.

I repeated the same method to edit the wrong entry, but am not able to do. What is the way out.

An early response to this would be highly appreciable.

Hi Sidharthnath,

Follow the below steps to get back to previous is:-

- Go to t-code SE16

- Enter the table name MARV

- Enter desired company code

- Press Execute

- This will take u to another screen

- Then Select the line item and click on display to view the details

- then enter "/h" it will take you to debug screen

- in the field name enter "CODE" and next to the same field enter "edit"

- execute it and then it will allow you to save in the table name "MARV" to the previous details.

Hi Rahul,

I am trying the way you have suggested.

i have used se16

Entered table MARV

Entered Company Code

pressed F8 execute

checked the line item

clicked display

entered /h on the T-code Bar

says debugging switched on

The cursor automatically is in the BOX Field Name and as suggested by you i should write code in the box, but next to the Field Name box is Field content which is not editable therefore where do i write edit.

Dear Siddharth,

After the Debugging mode switched on Press Enter It will take you to another screen.

In debug mode screen

in left side you can see below code in probably line no. 31

if code = 'SHOW'.

Double click on the word code

Now in right side window you will find word CODE in Variable column and word SHOW in Value column.

Next to Value column there is change Icon, Double click on that and now you can edit Value column, Replace the word SHOW with EDIT (In Caps) and press F8, Now you will be able make changes in Table.

Hello rahul .. need help on MARV table..

when in MIRO transaction i try to enter any dat ..i get an error msg MARV table entry for company code 1111 not assigned .. hw to solve this ?

Hi,

You can change the current period from transcation MMPV.This will update table MARV.

Hi,

Let me explain the details

I had checked the posting to be done for previous period with MMRV the details displayed is as below.

Current period - 12 / 2006

Previous Period - 11/ 2006

Last Period in Previous Year - 12 / 2005

To Update this in one shot i had used

Code - se16n

Table - MARV

Entered Company code.

Used Code - &sap_edit

Then F8 (Execute)

Post this by mistake i edited the table wrongly as

Current period - 06 / 2012

Previous Period - 05 / 2012

Last Period in previous Year - 12 / 2011 and saved it, i have by mistake made an entry one year forward. This is creating error in posting the stock.

I tried repeating the same method to edit my mistake but am not able to do so.

Now as per your suggestion using code MMPV, will it take me backwards to year 2011 and correct the table. If Yes, Also suggest me an alternative way to close the period one shot. As using MMPV i will have to close the period month on month basis and will take time to do so.
