SAP GUI 7.20 for JAVA in MAC OS X Version 10.6.7

Hello People,

I'm using SAP GUI 7.20 for JAVA at MAC OS X Version 10.6.7 . When I start to use the Solution Manager, i've been saw that it isn't open any file. When I try to open through the transactions SOLAR01 and SOLAR02 i receive a message:

"The document cannot be displayed

Message no. SOLAR_DOC021".

Also I'm using the Office for MAC 2011 in this machine.

I've saw that there is some SAP NOTES but none of them it is for MAC OSX.

Hello José,

I'm afraid that only SAPGui for Windows in a Windows environment is supported for the SOLAR01/SOLAR02

transactions.

The Solution Manager is released for Internet Explorer only (see

www.service.sap.com/pam). Unfortunately SAP GUI for Java uses another

Browser and therefore Solution Manager doesn't work correctly with SAP

GUI for Java. I am afraid you will have to use SAP GUI for Windows

instead.

Does anyone know if this will be changed in the future? Seems to me that the goal should be to be platformSAP GUI independent with as much as possible.

Hello Erik,

Since Solution Manager utilises the Office Integration and controls (.ocx files) in WIndows, it's highly unlikey that there

will be future support for Office.

It's one of the limitations of the JavaGUI I'm afraid.

Hello Erik,

there is not much hope, that Solution Manager in its current implementation would be possible to make it work using SAP GUI for Java without a signification amount of help from application development.

For the next major rewrite of Solution Manager it might be a worthwhile target, to implement it in a platform independent way.

In case you want to discuss the need for support for Solution Manager on other desktops than Windows, I suggest the forum.

any change for the above? any implementation which the solution manager able to released for Firefox or Safari?
