1) What is the difference between Value Mapping and Value Mapping Replication.

2) When Value Mapping is used?

3) When Value Mapping Replication is used?

4) What are the use case for Value Mapping?

5) What are the use case for Value Mapping Replications.

6) Advantage and disadvantages of Value Mapping and Value Mapping Replication approach?

7) How to transport Value Mapping values in both approach?

Most of my questions are answered but few more left for which i am looking for answers:

1) What are the different use cases for Value Mapping?

2) What are the different uses case for Value Mapping Replication.

3) Advantage and disadvantages of Value Mapping and Value Mapping Replication approach?

4) How to transport Value Mapping values in both approach?

5) Limitation for using value mapping and value mapping replication?

6) If PI Sytem down or restarted or java restart happen ,do we need to run VMR interface again or maintain value mapping table again for values and activate it.

when you have a small number of values which do not change often.

when you have a large number of values, which change often. You maintain the values in an ABAP/DB table, an Excel sheet or similar.
