product specific means of transport

Hello,

Can we have product specific means of transport in SNC5.1. using transportation lane.

We have different means of transport in SNC and do not want to use location specific means of transport.

Hi Vaibhav

Yes you can

In your transportation lane, /n/sapapo/scc_tl1

Create a New means of transport, which you want to assign to your product.

Example: train, do not check the option "valid for all products"

Create Product Specific Means of transport (F6), the button next to header data

Assign your product in single selection, Product Procurement section

and means of transport is wat you created above.

If it is not picking it, kindly check the class interface /SCA/CL_MDL_BUFFER

Hi Vaibhav,

As far as i know you can have product specific means of transport but it is location dependent(/n/SAPAPO/SCC_TL1) source location (supplier location) and destination location(plant location).

This is only standard possible way.

instead of product specific means of transport, you can setup product group specific lanes, which to me seems like much less of maintenance.
