ALWAYS Displaying the LOV in "view" mode.

We are upgrading (at last) from R2 to R3.

In R2 the user can click on the prompt and LOV is always shown.

However in R3 this is not the case.

The user HAS TO click on "Refresh Values" and then the values are shown.

The LOV is automatically shown ONLY when there is no value select yet.

In R2 we use the "*" method to display all values. May be in R3 we have to handel in a differ way ??

FYI

I already tried all kind of different setting and "prompt with list of Values" is ON.

I do know about a different behaviour op the prompts (f.i. the optional paramater).

Leaving the prompt always empty is NOT the solution I am looking for.

Can somebody give me a hint how to solve this.

Go to the universe designer and open the properties of the object which you are using for the LoVs in a prompt and put a check

mark against the property "Automatic refresh before use".

All mij objects have "refresh befor use" however this onlys seems to work when the prompts arne NOT answered jet.

When I leave the last value in the promt. nothing is shown. Until you click on the refresh button.

It's true and that's how BO behaves by default..

If you want to refresh the values automatically each time then use the Not_Persistent parameter in the prompt definition.

Once you use Not_Persistent as a parameter in the prompt definition, BO will not save the previous selected value in the prompt

and the list would automatically refresh each time.
