Dear All.
In one inspection lot sampling procedure assigned as Fixed Sample 2 so as per this procedure system calculated to be inspected as 2 sample. But while result recording for same MIC user got 4 editable field for recording the results so user done result recording for 4 sample. In MIC fixed scope control indicator is selected.
How can we restrict same?? Please suggest......
Double check the sample procedure and check that someone hasn't changed the number of samples to be used. Also make sure it isn't using a sampling scheme and/or dynamic modification.
Also, look at QA02 and teh date the lot was created. Make sure the sampling procedure hasn't been changed since that date. The lot will reflect the values at the time the lot was created, not what they are now.

Hi Dev,
Either in Sampling procedure or at Inspection plan MIC level you would have defined 4 as Sample Size, that is why is calculating 4 instead of 2
To check at Sampling Procedure Level:-
Go to QDV2> Enter your Sampling Procedure> Enter--> Check that here the Fixed Sample is defined.
then Click "F5" to go to the next screen----> Click on the "SAMPLE" button there. and check the Sample size here.
To check at Inspection plan Level:-
Run QP02---> Reach up to Characteristic Over view screen and click in Sample and check the Sample size there.
Either from these two,,, you would have maintained 4.

There is a control indicator "Single Result" while creating MIC. Select "Summarized Result".

Hi Dev,
Well, it must not happen that, you have selected u201CFixed Scopeu201D and system is allowing you to put the readings more than sample size.
What I would suggest is, go to QP02. Select this particular MIC and click on control indicators tab. Check there if u201CFixed Scopeu201D has really been ticked.
Many times it happens that, we modify MIC (may be control indicators or other details like values, decimals etc) and forget to update the same in inspection plan.
Change of control indicators in MIC (in QS23) doesnu2019t ensure that it has been updated in inspection plan. Hence it is advisable to check these parameters in inspection plan.
