Field Supplier is not displaying in Shopping Cart with Std Roles SRM 7.0

Hi Experts ,

We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .

I am wondering , with the Std Role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER in Sandbox, I am able to see and use the field "SUPPLIER" in Shopping Cart in section "Source of Supply/Service Agent" tab page.

But in DEV system, with this or other STD roles we can not able to see the same. Security team created some Z roles, out of these if I assign one Z Role ZS_SRM_ADDITIONAL to my Id , then only system displays this Supplier field. I am surprised with this .

I compared Std Role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER in Sandbox and DEV server everything is same. I believe no one had changed the Std Role or not done any UI or screen settings for this field.

Can anyone please suggest what should be issue ? What is teh autorization Object that control this ?

Thanks

NAP

Hello,

Actually user with role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER would be able to assign

a supplier through sourcing cockpit. When doing this, purchaser is

not changing the cart itself. It is just assigning a fixed suppiler to

generate the follow on document.

In order to assign a fixed supplier directly in the shopping cart as a

change, activity 'FIXED_SUP' must be maintained in the user role.

For the user to be able to perform the task of assigning a fixed

supplier, a specialist role must be assigned to him and authorization

object 'BBP_FUNCT' must have an activity 'FIXED_SUP' defined for it.

You can also refer to the manual activities defined in note 1120930 for

more information on the same.

Even though note 1120930 is applicable for SRM 6.0, check the

manual activities in it, which mentions about what is the authorization

object that is required for the Fixed Supplier field to be made

visible.

Nevertheless, for the field Fixed Supplier to be available, the user

must be assigned to the authorization object 'BBP_FUNCT' and within this

authorization object, activity 'FIXED_SUP' has to be marked.

I hope it helps.

Ricardo

Thanks Ricardo.

In Std Role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER is assigned to the authorization object 'BBP_FUNCT' and within this

authorization object, activity 'FIXED_SUP' has to be marked. Also, all the settinsg are exists as per Note 1120930.

Still with the above role the field Supplier is not displaying in the SC in SoS tab page !

Do you or any have futher sugegstions what could be reason and solution for same. ( Surprisingly in Sandbox , with same role it is displaying !!! )

Thanks

NAP,

Did you try to regenerate the role and ensure that authorisation is in Green?

Thanks Ricardo. Issue resolved.

In Std Op Purchaser Role the profile was not generted. We didn't touched it now. We just created Z_BBP_FUNCT role as suggested in Note 1120930 only for object 'BBP_FUNCT' with only activity 'FIXED_SUP' .And assigned same along with Std Role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER.

Actutaly we tried to copy Std Role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER and created Z role for same generted profile , but it didn't worked. Also. another thing, when I'm using this new role Z_BBP_FUNCT along with std role /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER , system is just giving User Attribute error when trying to create Shoppping Cart. But when I add role /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE, then it working fine.

So I have now below roles to see Supplier field in S/C SoS tab

/SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER

SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE

Z_BBP_FUNCT

Issue resolved.

Thanks Ricardo.
