Hi,

Rajendra is right.

At table level, the operation is named as Node.

The data available against the field node is the operation field.

No.. While the node often reflects the operation number they are not the same!!!! Use the node to link your tables. Node numbers don't change while you can change the operation or characteristic numbers used in the plans.

Node numbers get out of sync when you add/delete operations or characteristics over time.

For instance, if I create an ispection plan with three operations , 10, 20, and 30 they will have node numebrs 1,2, and 3. I can insert operation 15 but it will be node 4.

The same goes for group counters and node number in the PLKO header table. Nothing says you have to create your group counters in order. You might have a group 566 with group counters 1 and 2. You can come along and create a group counter 20 and then create a group counter 15.

Your group counters would be 1, 2,15 and 20. But because of the order they were created, the node numbers would be 1,2,4,3 respectively.

If you don't use the node numbers properly between the different tables, you can have serious problems if your not very careful with writing reports or programs.

Dear

The Inspection charecter number is that explicitly identifies an inspection characteristic within an operation in an inspection plan.

That is for operation 10 suppose 5 mics are there means it will be identified by 10, 20,30,40, and 50 of operation 10. Like wise if operation 20 is having 3 mic means it will be addressed 10, 20,30 of operation 20.

Thanks & Regards
