apply Oracle archive log didn't appear in alert_<SID>.log file

Hi,

I have performed the SAP system refresh using DB restore, changing the Oracle DB SID and afterwards applying the archive log.

SQL command used to apply the archive log files:

SQL> recover database using backup controlfile until cancel;

After applying those archive log file, I couldn't find the information about applying the above archive log file in the Oracle alert_<SID>.log file.

1) Where does the information about applying archive log stored?

2) How long does applying the each of archive log file usually take?

I think the archive log size can be setted, so it's hard to say how long I think It depent archive log file size and your hardware ......
