How to Enable/Disable Maintenance mode in SMD

Hi All,

I am following the Wily Introscope 8 Guide. In the part "Automated Installation of the Introscope Agent in SMD", there's a part that says 1. Enable Maintenance Mode in SMD. Should I do this on the managed system? Is this still needed even if my solution manager is already SP26.

Thank you. This answered my original question.

The problem now is that I followed the guide in Wily 8 installation but after going to solman_workcenter->root cause analysis->Diagnostic set-up->Introscope agent I do not see the Wily Enterprise Manager I just installed.

Note that SolMan and Wily Manager are on the same machine. [Here's|http://www.4shared.com/file/nDkW1XAt/wily.html] the log and screenshot of my error.

Hi Argel,

To see the Em in the Introscope Setup at the Diagnostics Setup check the following:

1) Em is up and running (use the command above to start it).

2) You have to configure the EM host and ports in the following locations:

2.1) Tx -> SOLMAN_SETUP -> Basic Configuration -> Step 5 Landscape Data

2.2) Diagnosticfs Setup -> Diagnostic System -> Setup Wizard

2.3) Diagnosticfs Setup -> Diagnostic System -> Advanced Setup -> Tab Wily

You must ensure that the EM configuration is OK in the above places, afterwards you should see the EM listed in the Introscope Setup.

See wily Enterprise manager is not graphical based only you can check weather its running or not

for that go to your os login with sidadm

usr>ccms>willyenterprise manager> bin>EMctrl.sh start - to start the Willy EM

Emctrl.sh status -- to check the status

Hi angel you can use Tx solman_workcenter>root cause analysis> agent administration you will see two radio button maintance mode on or off make it off

if you are doing solman diag agent configuration then in solman setup there are some background jobs runs when you do the prerequisite config which make maintainence made automaticall off.

You will find the option to enable/disable the Maintanance Mode in the following location:

- tx SOLMAN_SETUP

- tab Root Cause Analysis

- link Agent Administration (left panel)
