Dear All,
I am installing SAP on windows 2003 server.
I wanted to know can I update the kernal with latest avaiable kernal on marketplace.
i.e. for example with installation CDs kernel version is 150. But on marketplace version is 278 or higher.
I have started installation process. I got saome error and it is suggested that update latest kernel version.
How can i update kernel file.
one way it may possible that I can stop installation and copy latest kernel file and start installation as "New Installation"
But it again takes too much time.
What will be the best way to do this activity?
Regards,
Nirav

Dear Nirav,
Yes you can manually upgrade the Kernel to latest version and then continue with your installation.
It works fine, i did it at some point of time.

you can stop SAP and SAP-related services, update the kernel, then restart everything and continue installation. it should work.
good luck.
