Each excel will have 20 records(so 20 material details).

i upload it via IS(port).

Now there is a new requirement to Include a image for each material!!

I have included a new field in my main table (lookup image).

I can see in Data manager that manually uploading images for each record.

But how do i upload a set of images for materails automatically!!

Is it possible??

Could someone guide me!!

Hello john12345

You can link images, pdfs and blobs to records through Import manager

For that you should(for main table):

First

Be sure that your images table was added to your main table

add(load) all images(pdf. blob) to your repository in Data Manager

Second

prepare source file with next structure:

unique field(from your main table), image(pdf, blob) file name

than link unique to unique and image to your image field

Third

try to import

Hi Experts,

I got through the process of uploading images to my records.

1) In DM select the Image folder(which has 50 images init) from the desktop and upload in Images table.

2) have an excel with unique field and Images names, upload it via IM.

Now, during the step 1, Will it be possible to restrict the user to Not to allow upload of image More than 2 MB of size??

1 image > 2MB THEN fail to import or some message intimating cannot cross the limit per file as 2MB.

i have checked the image properties in console but it never said about image limit??

Please help

Kind Regards

John

hi john,

I don't think it is possible to restrict image upload based on size..

Hi John,

Load All Images:

Open Images table in the data manager. Now right click on the records pane and select "Add". In pop-up window, specify the Data group for image classification. Then click on "Folder" and select the folder of your images. click on OK. It will be better if you make folders for 2-3K files.

Link uploded Images:

Prepare an excel file with "Material Number" and "Image name" as 2 different columns. Import this file by import manager. Map the fields. perform rest of import step and import data. This will automatically attach imported images with the materials.

You are done
