How to start: Printing data-matrix codes in MII 12.0

Hello everybody,

we have a request to print data matrix codes within a MII application. I'm not sure if MII can do this out of the box. I tried with the bar codes in the PDF action blocks but it seems that this are all only bar codes and not two dimensional data matrix codes.

So I'm not quite sure how to handle this problem and how to start doing this.

The only solution I can imagine currently is to write a function module in SAP ERP to print such a code.

Or other solution might be to create a custom action block...

Does anybody already had such a request?

I did a google search for datamatrix code generator and found that a URL such as:

http://datamatrix.kaywa.com/img.php?s=8&d=hello%20world

works quite nicely in an ImageLoader action

Hello Jeremy,

thank you for your answer. I found millions of these code generating websites but unfortunately our MII system has no access to the internet for security reasons. (And we don't want to send production data through the internet of course)

So it is necessary for us to do this directly in MII.

(or to set up another server which can generate this code). Is it possible in MII directly to generate such a code?

Have you tried uploading a data matrix font and using that in the PDF? There are fonts here:
